| A Little About Liz & Jane Clothes
The creative birth of Liz & Jane Clothes began in 1989, after Liz moved to Panama City Beach and met Jane. After graduating from FSU with a degree in Elementary Education, Liz added her name to the waiting list of other teaching hopefuls. At the same time Jane, also a Since the tie-dye look was making a comeback, Liz & Jane seized the opportunity and introduced their own variation of the process. By using strings and rubberbands to form designs within each garment, Liz and Jane developed a look that was unique and complimentary to a woman's figure. For the next two and a half years the dyeing duo operated out of Liz's laundry room. Their enthusiasm for tying and dying led them to courageously take their product to the Atlanta market. The tremendous response prompted them to hire their first national sales representatives. Needless to say, their innovative energy put teaching and interior designing on hold!
The company moved to a large facility on Panama City Beach and began producing to order. Staffed by an enthusiastic crew, Liz & Jane Clothes doubled in size over the next three years. Liz & Jane Clothes is simply a reflection of Liz and Jane Bennett themselves. The collection represents their creative lifestyles--somewhat casual and inspirational. They take special interest in considering every garment as an art form that differs slightly from the next. Designed for maximum comfort, Liz & Jane Clothes are for the woman who wants to feel 100% herself. Ever-evolving and diverse, the line is the ultimate wear for work, church, weekends, or travel. With the fading of tie-dye's popularity in 1992 Liz & Jane's creative inspirations spawned the look that we know and love today as Liz & Jane Clothes. Again they focused on a unique variation of an already sought after style. Beginning with a comfortable and relaxed garment, Liz and Jane stonewashed their product to cultivate a desirable, lived-in look. After another successful reception at market, Liz & Jane Clothes gained the interest of more national sales representatives, many of whom were hired.
